TV talent show winner Danny Bayne has helped raise money for a cancer sufferer at a charity performance.

Welling-born Danny B, who recently won ITV's Grease is the Word and a role in a forthcoming West End musical, performed at Woodville Halls, Gravesend last Sunday alongside other up-and-coming musicians.

The star took part in the performance organised by the Len Goodman School of Dance, where he used to study before moving to Italia Conti in Chislehurst.

It was held to raise money for the mother of one of the current students, who is suffering from a rare form of cancer.

Danny performed alongside Sarah Louise Richards, a former Goodman's pupil who now performs with the Pineapple Dance Troupe; Sugar Free who recently won the Street Dance International UK Championships and pop singer Natalia who recently supported Girls Aloud on their tour.

Also present were Flawless who were recently crowned the World Hip Hop Dance Champions 2006 and have worked with Madonna, Beyonce and Victoria Beckham.

So far £2,000 has been raised from raffles, programme sales and auctions.
