An exhibition of eclectic works by high-profile artists working in various mediums is now on show in the Control Tower at Kings Hill.

They include landscapes by photographer David Anthony Hall whose work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art and internationally at venues from New York to Hong Kong.

He also campaigns for the inclusion of art within newly commissioned buildings, particularly hospitals and hospices.

Visitors will also be able to see Hubcap Creatures by Ptolemy Elrington, who reshapes found and recycled materials – such as shopping trolleys, scrap metal and car wheel trims – into life forms.

On show in the Control Tower is a giant spider made from bits of petrol strimmer, train, shopping trolley and computer monitor arms.

Other exhibits include figurative oils by Alice Trull, oils on handmade linen boards by Nessie Ramm, wood carvings by Nicholas Cheesman and paintings by Deborah Petch.

Andrew Blevins, managing director of Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust, said: “Placemaking underpins our approach to creating communities like Kings Hill.

“When we restored the Control Tower, key to the plans was the creation of an exhibition space where people living, working and visiting here could enjoy a variety of events, such as art and music.

“The art exhibitions change every few months and our curator June Frickleton selects works to include a variety of forms and styles so there is something for everyone to enjoy.”

The Control Tower exhibition is open to the public between 9am and 5.30pm on Monday to Friday and will run until the end of May.

Details of each artist together with an example of their work is listed on kings-hill.com/live/kings-hill-art-exhibitions/current-exhibition.
