The London Ballet Company is coming back to Tunbridge Wells this Autumn with their production Poppy which commemorates the souls who lost their lives during the First World War and also in memory of the end of The Battle of the Somme.
On their last visit in October 2014 to Tunbridge Wells, The London Ballet Company performed their world premiere of Poppy at Royal Victoria Place (RVP) to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.
Royal Victoria Place will once again support The London Ballet Company and will be sponsoring the forthcoming Poppy show at The Trinity Theatre.
Centre manager of RVP, Nicky Blanchard said: “Poppy is an amazing and very moving show which when hosted here at RVP captivated the audience. The talent and skill of the dancers has to be seen to be believed. RVP is proud to once again support The London Ballet Company and wish them all the best for their performance at The Trinity Theatre.”
This performance on November 17 at The Trinity Theatre is on the eve of the end of The Battle of the Somme.
As a prelude, The London Ballet Company will be at Royal Victoria Place on October 29 and will be donating complimentary tickets to the first 10 shoppers who can show verification that they are descendants of any person who lost their life at The Battle of The Somme.
