The presenter of CBeebies show Mister Maker will be performing in Dartford as part of his first ever live theatre tour of the UK.

The TV show - which premiered in 2007 and was nominated for a children’s BAFTA in 2009 - is known for helping to teach young children how to do arts and crafts.

Since its 2007 debut the successful show now plays in some 100 countries around the world.

There have been six series of the show so far, with a seventh due to air this year.

The Mister Maker and the Live Shapes stage show will be performed at the Orchard Theatre from February 15 to 16.

The show features art, a number of songs and a ‘big make’ that everyone will be able to participate in.

The Shapes will also be performing a dance for the audience to enjoy.

Phil Gallagher is well-known to children around the country for his role as Mister Maker, and he is looking forward to bringing the show to the stage and meeting his fans, who have been nicknamed ‘Mini-Makers’.

He said: “This is our first ever Mister Maker theatre tour in the UK and I am so excited.

“We’ll be singing, dancing and making some amazing arty creations,” he added.

“I can’t wait to share the fun with all my Mini-Makers so join me, Circle, Triangle, Square and Rectangle for a real arty adventure, and get ready to make some noise.”

Mr Gallagher has been working in children’s television since 1998 as a production team member, writer, actor and presenter, beginning his career at Disney - where he worked on both Playhouse Disney and Studio Disney.

Tickets to Mister Maker and the Live Shapes are £11 for children and £14 for adults, with family tickets also available.

Performances will be taking place at 10am, 1.30pm and 4pm.
