The pop-up dancing will take place consecutively across five parts of the town centre

A new community project is waltzing, shuffling, jigging and bopping its way to Gravesend.

Gravesham Borough Council is calling out for anyone who is interested in dancing to be part of its Dancing in the Street project, a part of this year’s Riverside Festival.

On July 22 from 12pm, there will be a pop-up flash mob happening consecutively in five different parts of the town centre.

The first will be on Community Square, then outside B&M in New Road, outside Gravesend Borough Market, by St Andrew’s Gardens, in Fort Gardens and then culminating in a grand finale on the stage by the river side.

It is hoped each flash mob will consist of about 18 different dance groups, that can have up to 20 people.

Each dance group will have the opportunity to work with one of three top class choreographers to learn a variety of different dances – and it’ll include anything from Bollywood to Hip Hop.

If you’re interested go along to The Woodville on May 12 from 6pm to 8pm to meet with other dancers, and choreographers. There will be rehearsal days following this date.

Anyone of any age can take part, but under 16s need to have an adult accompany them.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
