Students at The Folkestone Academy are to appear in a film created by Folkestone resident and actress Jessica Hynes.

The Bridget Jones’ Baby star has been directing her new film The Fight using not only Academy classrooms but also the Academy’s performing arts students.

Students were on the film set from 8am through to 8pm on Saturday July 22. They had the opportunity to work with other famous actors including Sally Phillips (Miranda and Bridge Jones trilogy), Noel Clarke (Star Trek into the Darkness) and Shaun Parkes (The Mummy Returns).

The opportunity was organised by head of performing arts, Kay Vanderhoeven with support from head of dance, Mrs Cullen and head of music, Mr Fullerton.

Ms Vanderhoeven, said: “I have never been so proud of our students. They were so hardworking, natural and kind spirited. There is a school talent show included in the film so hopefully some of our excellent dance, drama and music students will be included in the film.

“It was an awesome day where our students proved themselves to be the super stars we know them to be.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
