Alt-J venture to Dreamland to perform by the sea

They’ve sold out the O2 in recent years
Indie band Alt-J are the latest act announced to play at the recently relaunched Dreamland, Margate.
The three-piece, who have received nominations for Best Alternative Album at The Grammys 2015, and Best British Group and Best Album at the Brit Awards 2015, as well as selling out the 02, will be venturing to the seaside for a show this September.
Formed in 2008 by four friends, who met at Leeds University, they’ve forged a career by combining elements of electronic, folk and guitar music.
They released their debut album An Awesome Wave in 2012 which won them the Mercury Music Prize, and Ivor Novello Album Award, and three Brit nominations.
Since their popularity has soared, the band have played festivals such as Radio One’s Big Weekend, and Reading and Leeds.
Tickets fo on general sale on Friday, June 2 from 9am.
Anyone aged between 14 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
