Cloudbusting began following inspiration from Ms Bush’s theatrical concerts

Cloudbusting, the Kate Bush tribute act, is coming to Deal in February.

In 2014 Ms Bush returned to the stage after a 35-year break, gaining record breaking ticket sales whilst becoming the only woman to ever have eight albums simultaneously in the UK charts.

Inspired by her theatrical concerts, Cloudbusting perform this astonishing music with detail and stimulating visuals. The five piece band have been gaining critical acclaim not only from audiences around the country but even Kate Bush’s own musicians and collaborators.

“Mandy’s vocals were so good, I could have been listening to Kate herself!” said Preston Heyman a mumber of Kate Bush’s band.

Mandy Watson who plays Ms Bush said: “The minute I saw her on Top of the Pops back in 1978 I was fascinated by Kate’s vocals - no-one else ever sounded like this. But when I bought The Kick Inside, I discovered there was so much more to her than ‘that voice.’

“Her lyrics evoked stories and imagery that entwined effortlessly with unbelievably beautiful and challenging melodies. Ever since then I’ve been in awe of her. I still pinch myself that I get to sing songs from such a diverse repertoire, with a great bunch of guys who all share the same passion for Kate’s music.”

Cloudbusting will be performing at The Astor Theatre on February 11.
