Two dates in the county for all-star line-up

Three of the 1980s’ biggest stars are uniting for a UK jaunt this year with dates confirmed for both Folkestone and Dartford.

Former Ultravox frontman and solo star Midge Ure heads a line-up which also features Liverpool band The Christians and Clare Grogan fronting Altered Images.

The triple-header comes to Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall on October 19 and then Dartford’s Orchard Theatre on October 27.

Midge Ure is best known for Ultravox hits such as Vienna and Dancing With Tears In My Eyes plus solo smashes such as If I Was and No Regrets. A former band member of seminal acts such as Visage and, briefly at least, Thin Lizzy, he also co-wrote Band Aid hit Do They Know It’s Christmas? with Faversham’s Bob Geldof.

The Christians are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year since their debut eponymous album became a huge hit.

Spawning singles such as Forgotten Town, Hooverville and Ideal World, the distinctive vocals of lead signer Garry Christian remain as powerful today as ever before.

Meanwhile Clare Grogan and Altered Images emerged in the early 80s with hits such as Happy Birthday and I Could Be Happy. She is also well known for her role in hit movie Gregory’s Girl and as Dave Lister’s love interest, Kristine Kochanski in science fiction comedy Red Dwarf.

Tickets for all three shows are on sale now.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
