Familiar voices to listeners of Radio 1 are set to visit Bluewater shopping centre next month.

DJ Greg James and Newsbeat presenter Chris Smith will be signing copies of their new children’s book, Kid Normal.

Hosting the channel’s drive time and chart shows, Mr James has become a familiar face on TV after completing the Gregathlon - five triathlons in five different cities on five consecutive days, raising more than £1,000,000 for Sport Relief in February.

Award-winning journalist and presenter, Mr Smith has co-written Kid Normal with Mr James, which sees a normal child enrolled into a school for superheroes by mistake.

Senior bookseller Katie Rayfield says: “I’m a big fan of Chris and Greg, and the book will be perfect for my son. We’re anticipating a fun and lively event.”

The free event starts from 3pm on July 15, with fans urged to arrive early to avoid disappointment, all customers must have a copy of Kid Normal to meet the authors.
