Dress glamorously for an evening of decadence and fun and the chance to win a masterclass in burlesque.

If your corset is tightened, suspenders snapped and killer heels slipped on, then you are ready for An Evening of Burlesque at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford, this summer.

Staged by showbiz agency Entertainers, this show is guaranteed to bring out the extrovert in you.

Traditional burlesque is given a modern-day tweak in this new production as sultry vocals, breathtaking choreography, mischief, magic, comedy, frivolity and fun collide.

Entertainers managing director Michael Taylor said: “We’ve been surprised and delighted to find that the majority of people in the full houses the show’s been enjoying are female.

“Not only that, but the ladies have been dressing incredibly glamorously to come and see the show.”

And as part of the nationwide tour, the search is on for the UK’s best dressed fan.

Every show at every venue visited on the production’s 2011 tour will feature a competition to find the night’s most glamorously dressed audience member. The overall winner will win a personal lesson in the art of burlesque from the show’s stars during a performance in Bournemouth.

Mr Taylor added: “Probably the scene from the production that raises the biggest cheer is when extroverts in the auditorium are invited on stage to learn how to ‘burlesque it’ with the cast.

“Theatregoers are so elegantly dressed, very often it’s impossible to tell them apart from the stars of the show.”

He said that the competition was a way of recognising the effort that fans of the show
put into their appearance.

Tantalising yet tasteful, camp and colourful, the elegant showgirls combine Parisian charm with Las Vegas glamour.

An Evening of Burlesque appears at the Orchard Theatre, Home Gardens, Dartford, on Friday, July 1. The show is strictly for over 18s.
