They will be at the Churchill Theatre.

In 1973 a record was released that helped to bridge the generational gap and become a rock anthem for people of all ages.

20th Century Boy was written and composed by Marc Bolan, and saw him and his band T Rex shoot to fame and cement their place in the original glam rock era.

Now, a tribute band will be recreating the music and stage presence of the original group at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley.

Tribute band T Rextasy have been performing for more than 20 years at venues all over the world- a career that actually outlives Mr Bolan’s own T Rex.

The band was formed by frontman and lead guitarist Danielz, and is made up of Neil Cross on rhythm guitar, David Ryder Prangley on bass guitar and John Skelton on drums,

They are the only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan and T Rex that are endorsed by Marc Bolan’s family and the original members of T Rex.

“They’re the closest you’re ever going to get to the real thing,” said original T Rex drummer Bill Legend.

“They are simply the best tribute band in the world,” added Marc Bolan’s producer Tony Visconti.

As well as this, the band were also awarded the accolade of the best live tribute band in the UK after they appeared on the BBC1 programme Battle of the Fantasy Bands, presented by Terry Wogan and Ulrika Jonsson, in 2001.

Marc Bolan’s rock-a-boogie songs throughout the 1970s include Telegram Sam and Jeepster.

He obtained a top 20 record in 1976, which has become one of the band’s memorable and signature tunes - I Love To Boogie.

The show is aiming to recreate an authentic Marc Bolan concert.

I Love To Boogie with T Rextasy will be at the Churchill Theatre on June 25.

The performance will be taking place at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £22 and they are available to buy now.

For more information or to book you can call the box office on 0844871760.
