The screening will take place in March.

Stage show Hangmen will be streamed live from the West End into a Greenhithe cinema next month.

Matthew Dunster’s black comedy, which is set in the 1960s, tells the story of Harry Wade - Britain’s ‘second-best’ professional executioner.

He finds himself at a loss when hanging is banned.

Being a local celebrity in his town, pub regulars and reporters race to find out his reaction to the news - all with different motives behind their visit.

The production stars David Morrissey, Andy Nyman and Johnny Flynn.

It will be screened at Bluewater Shopping Centre’s Showcase Cinema on March 3.

Showcase Cinema’s general manager Mark Barlow said: “Hangmen is proving to be hugely popular, with five-star ratings across the board from critics.

“We’re pleased to join forces with National Theatre Live to give our customers the opportunity to watch the production from the best seat in the house and comfort of their local cinema.”

Tickets are £14.50 for adults, £12 with concessions and £11 for children.
