Dennis Wise wants to manage a football club again

Chelsea legend Dennis Wise is looking to return to football management after his ill-feted time as executive director at Newcastle.

The former Millwall, Swindon and Leeds manager was linked with the Brentford job last year but missed out to Uwe Rosler.

“I spent a bit of time out of it — I needed to, especially after the things that happened at Newcastle,” he told the Standard. “I took a step back.

“I really enjoyed the managerial side of the game.

“If something that I liked came up I would have a go, I really would.”
