Marko Marin insists he is a provider
Chelsea new boy Marko Marin has told fans that he is an offensive player and is targeting providing goals.
The Blues completed the deal for the Werder Bremen playmaker in May – their first summer signing and have since added Eden Hazard to their squad.
He told Chelsea TV: “I think I am an offensive player, more a winger, so I hope I can give a lot of assists to strikers so they score a lot of goals and they help the team.”
The 23-year-old also revealed the role Claudio Pizarro played in convincing him to join Chelsea.
“He [Pizarro] only had good things to say,” Marin added. “I asked him how it is here and he still has a house in Cobham.
“He didn’t play a lot but he said that he had a great time here and he thinks I will enjoy it.
