Millwall star Jack Smith is looking for improvement after their 2-0 defeat to Crawley.

The Lions are building up to August 18 where they face Blackpool at The Den and face Exeter on August 4.

“In the first half we had a few chances and seemed to control the game,” Smith told Lions Player.

“They had one shot on target and scored, so it was a bit disappointing to go in a goal down at half-time.

“In the second-half we don’t feel we played as well as we could; we didn’t create many chances and gave the ball away a bit too often.

“Although pre-season is about getting up the fitness levels, we want to produce a half-decent performance at Exeter too.

“We don’t want to lose the game and will do everything we can to not lose.”
