Millwall star Tamika Mkandawire is set to return to fitness in time for pre-season training after suffering a knee injury in November.

The Lions also have John Marquis, Therry Racon and Paul Robinson on the treatment table and physio Bobby Bacic is confident they will all return in time for the start of pre-season.

“Tam Mkandawire is now in a position where he has one eye on doing outdoor rehab after his knee procedure,” Bacic told the club’s official site.

“The knee is swelling-free and Tam is on track to join pre-season training with the rest of the group.

“John Marquis had a minor procedure on a groin muscle tendon at the end of the season and has attacked his rehab with typical enthusiasm.

“Like Tam he is on course to re-join the main group for pre-season.

“Other players have also dropped into the training ground to top up their fitness as well and we also have Therry Racon doing an intensive extra fitness programme in the south of France at a specialist centre.

“Lastly Paul Robinson is scheduled to have a groin operation next week and again, like the others, he will blend into the start of pre-season.”
