20 firefighters tackle Sidcup rubbish blaze in early hours

The fire started after 4.30am

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a pile of waste alight in the early hours of Friday morning.

London Fire Brigade was called to the blaze on Edgington Way in Sidcup just after 4.30am.

A stack of rubbish was completely destroyed in the blaze, but no injuries were reported at the scene.

Crews from Sidcup and Orpington fire stations brought the fire under control at 6.23am.
