Up to 20 new jobs are to be created in Bexleyheath as a new bank opens at the Broadway Shopping Centre.

The bank’s shop front is currently being fitted in the centre, with recruitment expected to start later this year.

Potential staff would be set to carry out face-to-face service with customers, offered seven days a week.

Peter Sedge, Broadway Shopping Centre’s manager said: “We are delighted to welcome Metro Bank to Broadway Bexleyheath.

“This is a growing London based bank and it is great news that they will be recruiting staff locally.”

Kevin Walker, regional director of Metro Bank said: “We are delighted to open a brand new store in Bexleyheath and look forward to becoming an important part of the community.

“Each of our stores are run by a local bank manager who works closely with local people and businesses to really understand their needs.

“Metro Bank’s continued success and growth demonstrates how much people value amazing service and we’re delighted that the people of Bexleyheath will have a bank that’s open at their convenience and to suit their needs.”
