The restaurant reopened last week

The McDonald’s restaurant open on the A20 near Swanley has reopened following refurbishment works.

The Swanley Service area restaurant, owned by Bexleyheath franchisee Greg Abbott, now has self-serve kiosks and offers table service, with refurbishment works expected to have created up to 29 jobs in the area.

Mr Abbott said: “It’s been great to see such a positive response to the changes in the restaurant from staff and customers alike.

“These changes are designed to make our customers’ experience as positive as possible, providing people with a chance to get to grips with using digital kiosk in a relaxed environment for a quick and easy way of ordering food and even having it served to their table.”

Self serve kiosks have allowed customers to browse through the fast-food menu, looking at nutritional value in greater detail than before, while bosses from the restaurant giant say feedback from its table service trials has so far been positive.
