The A2 has been closed this morning to allow the Kent Air Ambulance to land following a serious accident.

At about 8am, on the London-bound carriageway near Bexley, a motorbike, car and van were involved in a smash causing the closure of two lanes while land paramedics and police attended to an injured man in the road.

Emergency services were on the scene within minutes and traffic was filtered in to the slow lane before the road was closed briefly and then re-opened.

The condition of the victim is thought to not be life-threatening.
