A WOMAN in her 90s has written her first book - full of recipes to help arthritis sufferers get back to health.

Great grandmother, Alice Reynolds, 91, of Erith High Street, Erith, decided to write The Beginner's Book of Cooking for Arthritis, after she was diagnosed with the painful joint disease two years ago.

The mother of seven, said taking the diagnosed medication made her feel like a zombie and decided to treat the disease by changing her diet.

The former nurse said banishing dairy products and red meat from her diet made a tremendous difference and helped her mobility.

The cookbook is available, with free postage and packing, priced £4.95, from Railway Cat Creations, PO Box 299, Rainham, Essex, RM13 8XT.
