Online auction firm eBay is to boost a fund set up in memory of singer Amy Winehouse on the first anniversary of her death.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was established by her family, is to be eBay’s charity of the week from Sunday.

Users of the service will have a chance to donate to the organisation which helps and supports disadvantaged young people.

Back To Black singer Winehouse was found dead from alcohol poisoning in her north London home on July 23 last year.

The foundation was set up last September on what would have been her 28th birthday.

Meanwhile, George Michael has revealed he wrote a duet which he wanted to perform with Winehouse.

He said: “There is one [song] I wrote, I was hoping to sing with Amy Winehouse. I was so in awe of her talent, bless her heart I never got to offer it as a duet.”
