British Transport Police’s Sexual Offences Unit have launched an appeal to trace a man in connection with indecent exposure on a train to Charlton.

It is reported that on Thursday, April 4, just before 5pm, a woman in her early 20s boarded the train at Erith station, at the same time as a man, who sat opposite her.

As the train progressed towards Charlton, the man began touching himself inappropriately before he then exposed himself.

Investigating officer DC Martin Chapman, said: “We are now seeking the public’s help in identifying a man we wish to speak with in connection. If you know who he is then I would urge you to contact us as soon as possible.

“No one should ever be subjected to unwanted sexual advances such as this. I hope then we are now able to identify a suspect and bring them before the courts.”

Anyone with information is asked to send a text to 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 261 14/07/2017.
