The BBC is holding an event at Hall Place in Bexley tomorrow to advise people how to apply for Heritage Lottery Funding (HLF) for Bexley projects.

It takes place from 10am to 4pm at the Bourne Road, Bexley property and will focus on All Our Stories.

The new UK wide £1 million grant designed to help communities explore and celebrate their past and has been developed alongside a BBC Two programme called The Great British Story - A People’s History, presented by acclaimed historian Michael Wood.

Grants can range from £3,000 to £10,000 per project and can include researching local historic landmarks or delving into archives.

Sue Bowers, head of HLF London, said: “This event is a great way to find out how to apply for funding.

“We look forward to seeing as many people as possible in Bexley to enjoy hands on activities, workshops, talks and most of all find out what is available to them through our new small grant scheme and various other programmes.”
