Glen Farlam, 34, attempted to steal money at Richborough petrol station
A man has been jailed for six years after admitting breaking into a cash machine kiosk in Sandwich with intent to steal money.
The incident took place at the Richborough petrol station on Ramsgate Road shortly after midnight early on June 8.
An investigation by Kent Police’s Serious & Organised Crime Unit led to the arrest of Glen Farlam of Howard Avenue, Bexley on September 15.
Farlam, 34, was subsequently charged with attempt burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.
He was also charged with a burglary at Subway in Ramsgate Road, Sandwich on June 3 where a safe was stolen.
At Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, Farlam pleaded guilty to burglary with intent to steal in connection with the incident at the petrol station and was sentenced to six years imprisonment.
The other charge in connection to Subway was left to lie on file.
