Bexley woman leading Alzheimer’s charity walk

A Bexley family affected by Alzheimer’s will be participating in the London Memory Walk on Sunday (September 23).
Sarah Jenkins, of Howard Avenue will take part in the ten mile walk, organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, in memory of her father Keith Clark along with her husband Ian and children Elliott and Emily.
Mr Clark, who suffered from the disease, died in April this year at the Oaks Care Home in Sidcup aged 75 following a rapid decline.
They have raised £626 so far, exceeding the £400 target she had set herself.
Mrs Jenkins said: “The support we’ve received has been has been amazing. I thought if we got £100 that would be a good result.
“People are not as aware about dementia as they should be and hopefully events like this can help change things.”
