Gareth Hall overcame more than 6,000 hopeful entrants to win a competition

A Bexleyheath competition winner enjoyed a ‘star experience’ at the screening of the new Star Wars film at his local cinema.

Gareth Hall overcome more than 6,000 hopeful entrants to win the experience for him and his family, which included being taken to and from the cinema in a chauffeur-driven car, being escorted into the cinema by two Storm Troopers, a £100 Cineworld gift card and a ton of Star Wars goodies including a limited edition Playstation 4 Star Wars bundle.

Mr Hall said: “I’m a huge Star Wars fan and when I saw the opportunity to win this incredible ‘star experience’ from Cineworld, I jumped at the chance.

“I’ve had the best night– being escorted into the cinema alongside two Storm Troopers was something I’ll never forget – I felt like a celebrity.”

General manager of the Bexleyheath cinema, Tanveer Chowdhury, added: “We absolutely loved putting on the ‘star experience’ for Gareth and his family and all our customers loved seeing the Storm Troopers. “The interest in Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been phenomenal.”
