Bexleyheath roads to reopen this week - complete with new roundabout

PUBLISHED: 09:33 29 September 2015 | UPDATED: 09:33 29 September 2015

Work on the new roundabout at the junction of London Road and Bourne Road is nearly finished.

A main road in Bexleyheath has reopened to traffic this week – but will still be closed over two more nights.

Work on the new roundabout at the junction of London Road and Bourne Road is nearly finished, but London Road will still be closed tonight and tomorrow between 7pm and 2am for resurfacing.

It will reopen completely in the early hours of Thursday, as will Bourne Road.

The 96 bus will bypass London Road while it is closed, and will go from the town centre to Mayplace Road West and Mayplace Road East instead.

  • I was hoping the Bexleyheath road which was opening would be Lion Road, as it is the only closed road in Bexleyheath that I know about. However, your misleading article is about another junction in the London Borough of Bexley. Unfortunately it is misleading because the junction you refer to is in CRAYFORD, not Bexleyheath. As a "Local" news organisation, you should know your local geography!
