Pet rescue charity seeking homes for a stray cat and a pair of rabbits in Bexley

Kevin was taken to a vet as he was straying with a bad gash on his neck. The vet stitched this handsome ginger boy and asked Anim-Mates to care for him while he recovered from his operation and then to find him a new home.

His fosterer Teresa Bloomfield said: “We think that Kevin is about three years old. He has made a full recovery from his wound, which was very nasty. I hope we can soon find a home for this friendly and intelligent cat.

“He loves cuddles and all the attention he can get.”

Kevin has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

The ages of rabbits Martha and Arthur are unknown. They were found abandoned in a cardboard box in a lane frequented by foxes. Teresa said: “Luckily they were found by a passer-by before any foxes got to them. We want to find them a home where they can spend the rest of their lives together.”

Both rabbits have been neutered and vaccinated against myxomatosis.

Anim-Mates is an animal rescue group based in north-west Kent and south-east London.

All the animals are cared for in the homes of fosterers who treat them as their own pets until they are re-homed.

All new homes are vetted. Anim-Mates is run entirely by volunteers.
