The festival turns 12 this year so far

Drinkers serious about their ale are set to revel in the increasingly popular Bexley Beer Festival next month.

Fast becoming a staple of springtime, the festival at the Old Dartfordians Sports Club will be celebrating its 12th anniversary with a wide range of locally produced and far reaching ales.

The event has been organised by volunteers from Bexley’s branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, and traditionally boasts a wide range of ales, ciders and Perrys.

Last year the taps run dry as volunteers served 810 gallons to thirsty punters.

A spokesperson from the branch said: “Last year nearly 1,500 people attended, this year who knows how many will be coming, but all will be welcome.”

The popular three day festival runs from Thursday, May 4 to Sunday, May 6.
