Bexleyheath shops are still looking for Christmas temps


Some stores are still looking for staff

Shops in Bexleyheath have started hiring ahead of the Christmas rush.

Nearly 100 temporary jobs are being created to cope with the additional demand of festive shoppers.

Argos and Sainsbury’s in the town centre are taking on at least 37 temporary staff.

Other stores including River Island, Burton and Poundworld are all still hiring.

Broadway Shopping Centre manager Peter Sedge: “I’m delighted to welcome more than 90 new faces for what we hope will be a bumper Christmas for our retailers.

“I hope that some of these new recruits will become permanent fixtures to the centre as we move into the New Year.”
