The 56-year-old had his throat cut on Saturday afternoon in Abbotts Close and Daha Mohammed, 51, who also lives in the Thamesmead road.

Police were called at 2pm after reports of a disturbance and Mr Greenway was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mohammed is due to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A post-mortem examination at Greenwich Mortuary yesterday confirmed the cause of death as incised wounds to the throat.

Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating and an incident room has opened at Sutton under Det Ch Insp John McFarlane.

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8721 4205. To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
