A third person has been arrested in the investigation into the murder of Bexleyheath man Prabjot Singh Rayat in Thamesmead.

A 39-year-old man was arrested in Gravesend yesterday (18) and is being held in a south London police station.

The body of the 54-year-old, who lived in Pickford Lane, was found at his business, Rayat Autos in the Nathan Way Industrial Estate, in the early hours of June 8.

A post-mortem examination at Greenwich Mortuary the following day gave the cause of death as a stab wound.
