Engineering work disrupts late-night trains

Engineering work will disrupt late-night trains across south east London and north Kent this week.

The 12.37am train from London Victoria to Gillingham will terminate at Strood on Thursday and Friday mornings, with a replacement bus to Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.

The train will also be diverted, so will not call at Herne Hill, Penge East, Beckenham Junction, Bromley South, St Mary Cray, Swanley, Farningham Road, Longfield or Meopham. You’ll need to get the Victoria to Gillingham replacement bus, which leaves Victoria at 12.40am.

Tonight, the train will not call at Herne Hill, Penge East or Beckenham Junction, but will run as normal from Bromley South to Gillingham. A replacement bus to Herne Hill, Penge East and Beckenham Junction will leave London Victoria at 12.40am.

The 11.52pm train from London Charing Cross to Dartford will terminate at Lewisham tonight, tomorrow and Thursday. A replacement bus will run from Lewisham to Hither Green, Lee, Mottingham, New Eltham, Sidcup, Albany Park: Footscray Lane, Albany Park: Hurst Road and Valentine Avenue, Bexley, Crayford, Dartford, Greenhithe, Gravesend, Higham, Strood, Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.

The 12.22am train from Charing Cross to Dartford via Sidcup will also terminate at Lewisham, with a replacement bus as before, terminating at Dartford.
