A man was jailed for more than eight years last week, after he was caught carrying a rucksack full of drugs while wearing just his underpants.

Torrian O’Brien, 23, of Portland Road, Erith, was sentenced to eight years and four weeks at the Inner London Crown Court after pleading guilty to possession of a handgun and ammunition without a certificate, as well as possessing class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

On August 14, officers from Bexley Police’s proactive team carried out a drugs warrant at an address in Lime Row, Erith.

O’Brien was arrested in the garden as he attempted to flee with a bag containing 106 wraps of MDMA, 27 wraps of cocaine and 250 grams of cannabis.

In searching the property, police also found a loaded semi-automatic handgun and 23 bullets - as well as a further 26 grams of 92 per cent pur cocaine in his cooker.
