The Erith Pier Festival will bring Erith’s iconic pier to life on Saturday September 29.

Visitors can head down to the river between 11am - 9pm to toast the end of the summer and enjoy fun for all the family.

Flavours from a variety of street food stalls will be available as the Erith Kitchen moves to the pier for its last outing this summer.

There will also be a line-up of local musicians against the backdrop of Erith’s riverfront.

Deputy council leader and cabinet member for growth, Cllr Louie French, said: “I hope local residents and people outside the borough will come along and enjoy the Erith Pier Festival and its unique setting by the River Thames.

“Community events such as this are just one of a range of initiatives aimed at developing this part of our borough into a thriving riverside town.”

The Erith Pier Festival has been organised as part of the Greater Erith Regeneration programme and follows a successful programme of events last year at the Erith Lighthouse.
