A panel of experts are set to meet this week to discuss how best to boost the number of teachers in the capital.

The London Assembly Education Panel will meet on Thursday and will ask how schools are dealing with the problem, and what can be done to support them.

From 2010 to 2015, the number of outer London schools reporting classroom vacancies has risen by nearly 10 per cent.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 17 November from 2:00pm in the Chamber, City Hall with the public welcome to attend.
