Free event - with free refreshments

PEOPLE in Bexley are invited to find out more about services for young people in the borough with disabilities or special educational needs at a free event next month.

Bexley Council is inviting people to come and enjoy free refreshments, find out about the services – called the Bexley Local Offer – and give their views on the Bexley Local Offer website.

The event will take place at the Civic Offices in Bexleyheath on Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 12.30pm.

Cabinet member for children’s services Philip Read said: “We developed the website with families who use the services. It’s now time to get the views of a wider audience and get some ideas and suggestions.

“We want parents, carers, children and young people to come along. We hope the event will also be an opportunity to signpost families to other services that could be of interest to them.”
