The town centre is set to welcome a new bargin supermarket next month.

A spokesperson for Lidl confirmed the brand will be opening a 2,865 square metre store opposite the Marriot Hotel on June 29.

They said: “We weren’t going to announce the official opening date until we sent out a press release at the beginning of June, but we will then be able to update you further.”

The supermarket will be accompanied by 140 car parking spaces and 42 cycle stands.

The Bexleyheath Town Centre Facebook page today said: “Lidl UK is coming along nicely in Bexleyheath. Not long to go now.”
