The band beat thousands of entrants to enter the final of the Live at Your Local competitoin

A Lamorbey band is set to grace the stage with noughties rockers Razorlight tomorrow night.

Come in Silence beat thousands of entrants in the regional heats of the Live at your Local competition, to reach the final at the Indigo venue inside the O2 Arena.

To enter the final, which will combine talent from across the country, the band wowed crowds at Ye Olde Black Horse in Halfway Street, Sidcup.

Jack Travers, general manager at the pub, said: “We’re delighted that a local musician has been selected as a finalist for our ‘Live at Your Local’ music talent competition. They blew our socks off with their performance so we’re hoping that they can make it all the way!

“This is an amazing opportunity for Come in Silence and it’ll be an unforgettable experience performing at a venue as iconic as the O2.”

The band added: “We didn’t think we’d ever have the opportunity to perform at a venue like the O2, especially alongside an iconic band like Razorlight – so we’re excited for the final and hope we win.”

The winning band will take away £5,000, a recording studio experience and their weight in beer.
