Trains to south London, north Kent and Medway affected

Late-night trains in north Kent and south London will be disrupted this week thanks to engineering works.

The 11pm, 11.30pm and 12.04am trains from London Cannon Street to Hayes will terminate at Lewisham tonight, tomorrow night and Thursday, with a replacement bus to Ladywell, Catford Bridge, Lower Sydenham, New Beckenham, Clock House, Elmers End, Eden Park, West Wickham and Hayes. The bus will reach Hayes about an hour and a half after leaving Cannon Street.

The 12.18am train from London Charing Cross to Gillingham will also be affected by work. After Blackheath, it will be diverted to Kidbrooke, Eltham, Falconwood, Welling, Bexleyheath, Barnehurst and Dartford, from where it will run as normal to Gillingham. The train will not call at Charlton, Woolwich Arsenal, Plumstead, Abbey Wood, Belvedere, Erith or Slade Green, but there will be a replacement bus from Lewisham and Blackheath to all those stations, and subsequently Dartford, Greenhithe, Gravesend, Higham, Strood, Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham. The bus will reach Gillingham at 3am.
