Voters have until Friday, March 9, to make sure they are able to have their say on who should be the mayor of London.
The Greater London Authority elections take place on Thursday, May 3, to choose the Mayor of London and London Assembly members.
Those who are not on the electoral register, need to return a form - available from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk or by contacting Electoral Services on (0208) 303 7777 - by Friday, March 9.
Assembly members hold the mayor to account who has the power to set out plans and policies for the capital covering transport, planning and development, housing, economic development and regeneration, culture, health inequalities, and a range of environmental issues, including climate change, waste disposal and air qualities.
Returning the completed form by March 9 ensures voters are added to the electoral register on Monday, April 2. But the final deadline to be included on the 2012 GLA election register is Wednesday, April 18.
