A 21-YEAR-OLD wanted man escaped from hospital after having his handcuffs removed for an X-ray.

Joseph Tucker was arrested and charged last Sunday for a number of offences including robbery, burglary and fraud.

He was taken to Plumstead police station and kept in custody to await an appearance at Woolwich Magistrates Court the next day.

But on Monday he complained of feeling unwell and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.

Whilst at the hospital his handcuffs were removed for an X-ray when Tucker took his chance to escape.

Police searched for him but couldn't find him.

Tucker is white, around 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build and has short blonde hair.

He has close links with the Plumstead and Thamesmead area.

Anyone with any information or anyone who thinks they may have seen him, should call officers on 020 8284 7723 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
