MP David Evennett visit Morleys Bexleyheath for first time since it opened in April

He had a tour and met with the store’s managing director and manager

MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, David Evennett paid a visit, and toured the Morleys department store in Bexleyheath on Friday, July 7.

He was greeted at the store, in the Broadway Shopping Centre, by managing director David Hordle, and store manager Sean Doyle.

Morleys have invested £3 million in the Bexleyheath branch, and employed over 100 staff when it opened in April.

Mr Evennett, said: “I’m delighted to have met Mr Hordle and Mr Doyle to discuss the successes the store has enjoyed since opening, as well as their plans going forward.

“They have made a significant investment, employed a number of local residents, and the department store has transformed the shopping experience in the town. It’s great to have them here.”
