Number of children receiving home-schooling nearly doubles across borough

Figures have been revealed after a Freedom of Information Act
Home education has seen a massive rise across the capital over the past few years, according to new figures.
A Freedom of Information Act by Oxford Home Schooling has revealed the number of children being taught at home has risen by as much as 686 per cent in one London borough.
In Bexley, numbers have almost doubled in the last five years, rising by 91 per cent.
Overall, the number of capital’s children being homeschooled has risen to more than 3,800 between 2006 and 2016.
Meanwhile London’s school pupils have risen by just over 10 per cent in the last five years.
