Birchgrove Sidcup, the new rental-only property scheme for the over 60s, had good reason to celebrate as it hosted the topping out event for its 74 modern apartments.

Joining the celebration on August 7 were Mayor of Bexley Brian Bishop with Mayoress Christine Bishop.

Showing further support was councillor Brad Smith, cabinet member for adult services for the Bexleyheath Ward.

Due for completion in spring 2019, Birchgrove will feature one, two and three-bedroom apartments for retirees who don’t want to be tied to lengthy contracts or go through the hassle of buying another property.

Honor Barratt, managing director at Birchgrove, said: “The Sidcup site has a special place in our heart as it’s Birchgrove’s first development that we have launched under the rental-only scheme.

“Whilst we are thrilled about this company milestone, we are even more excited about the positive feedback we have received from the local community.”

Those wanting to find out more are welcome to visit the Sidcup sales office at 97 Main Road.
