One of the world’s top motoring brands will be setting up shop in Sidcup in 2018.

Porsche has revealed it will be running a 20-car showroom at the former Lancaster Jaguar site on Edgington Way, bringing 40 jobs with it.

Work is still ongoing to complete the South London Porsche showroom in time for its opening, currently expected to arrive early next year.

Once open the showroom will offer new and used cars alongside servicing and parts. The centre will also have a range of loan cars and demonstrator vehicles as well as offering local delivery and collection for service or repair customers.

Ahead of its opening, Chris Butler, dealer principal at the branch, is bringing a sales team to Bluewater to show off what the centre’s services.

He said: “Our new Porsche Centre South London is set to offer the next generation in automotive retailing and we are delighted to be able to give Bluewater guests a sneak preview of what it will offer at our exclusive pop-up shop.

“We encourage all local Porsche and car enthusiasts to come and experience it for themselves.”
