They were protesting against the administration of South London Healthcare Trust (SLHT), which includes Queen Mary’s in Sidcup, as well as the Princess Royal in Bromley and the Queen Elizabeth in Woolwich.

It was carried out by Greenwich and Bexley Trade Council (GBTC), Save Our Local Hospitals and I Love NHS.

The march stretched from Woolwich town centre to Charlton on Saturday (September 15).

Lynne Chamberlain, of GBTC, said: “We believe that the NHS should be free for all people.

“We loved the Olympics but if there was enough money for that, there’s enough money for the NHS.”
