Russian gymnasts have been training at a Crayford gym in their bid to win gold in London 2012.
The Vladimir School of Gymnastics, are training at the Europa gym in Maiden Lane, until Monday (23), after taking part in the Visa International Gymnastics qualifying event at the O2 in Greenwich throughout this week.
Vladimir School of Gymnastics has produced European, world and Olympic Champions during its 50 year history, including Nicoli Anddrianov who won 15 Olympic medals across three Olympic games, in 1972, 1976 and 1980.
Europa are now in final discussions to twin the two clubs to create and develop an exchange programme for gymnasts, coaches and officials to widen opportunities and knowledge and create cultural exchanges.
A Welling man is one of nine who have been charged with violent disorder in connection with the trouble which marred Millwall Football Club’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on April 13.
